Another Love Letter

We receive them all the time, but often fail to notice: love letters to us from the Eternal Inexpressible: on-rushing, in-rushing effusions of delight. We may mistake them for "mere" sunrises, starry skies, gentle breezes, joyful memories, fragrant flowers, friendly smiles, and butterflies.

The Glory of You

Realize that God adores you utterly.

Delighting in You A Psalm of Joy

O my dear ones,
isn’t it beautiful,
this earth —
as lovely
as you, yourself:
formed by the Hand
and held in the Heart
of the Creator
who delights
in you
endlessly.

Look around you,
my darlings,
and see what God has done:
the oceans
and the tide pools,
the rivers
and the deserts,
the forests
and the fields,
the hillsides,
and the valleys,
the sunrise
and the starlight,
all shaped and fashioned
gloriously,

and you —
just perfectly
marvelous.

Remember,
my beloved ones,
God’s great power
to comfort
and heal;
to strengthen
and sustain;
to inspire
and encourage;

remember
and rejoice,
precious ones,
in the Source of Life
whose steadfast love
is everlasting.

Rejoice,
O my glorious ones,
beauteous and beloved;
dance,
sing,
laugh,
and love,
tell stories,
turn handsprings,
do backflips,
and stand on your heads;

be glad and be grateful,
O my dear, precious, sacred beings,
formed by the Hand
and held in the Heart
of the Creator
who delights
in you
endlessly.
